Vintage Christmas tree

Vintage Christmas tree – a green Christmas tree is a symbolic reflection of the tree of paradise, representing good and evil.

It is imbued with Christian symbolism in our vintage style. Old glass, gently shimmering with magnificent colours, with all the wear and tear and a hint of patina from years gone by.

Its sparkle resembles stars in the frosty firmament, when we stand alone on the frost-covered ground, feeling the metaphysical Absolute towards which we are all heading.

Immanuel Kant aptly put it into words: the starry sky above me, moral law within me. Old Christmas tree decorations, precisely blown and hand-painted baubles, Santa Clauses, birds and stars, are reminiscent of the Christmas tree of yesteryear, the only decoration in my grandmother’s wooden cottage, which smelled of Christmas dishes – mushrooms, cabbage, aromatic gingerbread spices and compote.

After Christmas

Christmas. December days are dark, gloomy, heavy with fog. The sun breaks through the clouds only occasionally. We feel tired and meaningless in our existence, as if we are suspended between worlds.

And then, suddenly, there is a solstice. The star of Bethlehem shows us the purpose and meaning of our life. The universe flashes with gold.

God comes into the world in a poor stable. In his honor, we decorate our little microcosm – with lights, decorations and Christmas trees – and enjoy amidst the darkness this happiness.

Antique ornaments meticulously collected by great-grandmother, grandmother and mother bring back memories of childhood. We feel connected to a number of generations preceding us. We are not alone.
