Now that the hot weather and summer garden maintenance duties have passed, we have more time for walking.
When you put on your woolen jacket in autumn colors, you can feel the wool gently nibbling at your skin with every movement, warming up more and more every minute. It gives you real protection against the cold.
Top it off with an ancient resin spelled into a work of art – beads or a brooch. They too produce a pleasant warmth when touched. The hand warms the amber and makes it start to smell beautifully of the ancient forest.
Things made from hundreds of plastic bottles that burn you in summer and offer no protection in winter also immediately come to mind. They leave us defenseless against nature’s harsh conditions.
Because of this, we become less and less a part of it. We are moving further and further away. Perhaps this autumn walk will allow us to get at least a little closer to nature again.
